Large hot spring based pool and spa complex about 90 minutes from Christchurch. For hot spring people the sulphur pools are the key point here. They say they can get to 42℃ but I never felt that they got over 40℃. Still the spring was great and worth the drive if you have not been in the water for a while. The pool area is like Riso in Nishinomiya with various things to enjoy. An extra pass is needed for the water slides ($10,00) and the lockers were paid. Group discounts, private baths and saunas are also on offer.
