Amazing spring hidden here in the fields of Yoro, an agrarian community south of Ogaki in Gifu. Completely surprised by this spring and the huge complex built around it. There is a large hotel and other entertainment facilities here, but it was late and dark when we visited so I am not entirely sure what is on offer. Driving into the place, ignore the signs telling you to loop around to the back, park in the first lot you see on the left with the large main entrance. That is where the day use baths are and the casual restaurant. Baths and lockers are showing their ages but again, the spring water here is amazing and brown. They also offer it up in two temperatures which is nice to see. Seriously, one of the best opaque springs I have experienced. Very out of the way but worth taking a detour if you are driving between Nagoya and Kansai on the Meishin Expressway.
