I could not hear the grandpa in the reception telling me not to use the ticket machine that had a sign saying to use the ticket machine because the tv was way too loud. So when he got mad at me for using the ticket machine I was more than a bit miffed. More than just the ticket machine is broken here. A lot of the fixtures are also broken. The extremely small and shallow cold water bath also has an unpleasant smell to it. That might be the well water however. This is a “natural hot spring” in the loosest interpretation of the term. They have a cold water well and heat that water for the bath. Not really noticeable in the water or after. The shallow outdoor bath had the green color of the eco-cooler juice of my childhood in the USA and the décor looked more like what a hotel on mainland asia would call a Japanese bath than the reality. This is the only choice for the downtown area of Miki and I would go here if this was all I had access to, but it is sad that this place could be a lot better than what it currently is.
