I cannot believe that I had not yet visited this somewhat famous sento in the Shin-Nagata area of Kobe till the stamp rally gave me a reason to check this one out. Senko-yu has been used in a film and has a beautiful mosaic of the Kobe skyline with the Port Tower and everything along the back wall. There is also a long shallow kake-yu tub in the middle of the bathing area for splashing off. I have not seen one like that still in use other than Honojyo-yu, but that one is against the wall. This style of kake-yu seems to have been popular long ago judging by old photos of sento I have seen. The cool neon sign outside is, in itself, worth making the trip here for a soak. Check it out!
