A wonderful bathing experience, although one that you might have challenge getting to without a car. I love coming here whenever I can. There is a great range of temperatures in the baths. You can heat up and cool down in steps. The free charcoal shampoo and body soap is a bonus. The major point of this large bathing complex is the huge outdoor area that covers the slope of the hill leading up to the buildings. In the water there are many large rocks you can lean against or lie on. Due to it's size and distance from any neighbors it really feels like you are outside in nature rather than in a fenced off area.
Overall a great bathing experience and one that makes a great finish after visiting this great little corner of Hyogo. Other nearby attractions include Dono, a wonderful pizza restaurant, and the local pottery museum. It is worth noting that they have a free foot bath during the summer months, a small local vegetable shop, tofu made on the premises and a great gelato shop in the complex. The more casual cafeteria like restaurant has microbrew beer and wonderful home cooking.
