City run hot spring with a very municipal feel. Three baths inside, a very hot main bath plus a bubble and jet bath that are a bit cooler. I would have loved a cold water bath here. The spring is Hamasaka onsen's quality water that is very firm on the skin from the minute you get in. For ¥300 you cannot go wrong here. There is also a well outside for boiling eggs. There is a supermarket with a Daiso by the post office a 5min walk away if you want to get some eggs and a net to boil them in.
Also check out those large tanks in the parking lot. I believe those are used in the system that supplies houses in the old village with natural hot spring water for baths.
