Sakae Onsen
Sakae Onsen
One of the squeakiest feeling springs I have been in. This spring helps me consider that pH does not mean everything for skin slippery feel as it is neutral. Maybe it might have been the cool outdoor weather when I went, but the water here held the heat very well to the point that my wife and daughter thought it hotter than usual. The baths were signed at being set to 42˚C which should not have been too noticeable. The steam sauna was a tad weak, but enjoyable. Due to COVID, I did not use the dry sauna. All the baths, in particular the cold water one, are very shallow. All had a noticeable chlorine smell which might have been due to COVID also. This is advertised as being in front of the station and it literally is next to the station. The design is very business hotel feeling, but clean and welcoming.
