For a sotoyu, or bath outside of your hotel, in this dispersed beach side onsen village I was not expecting much but I was very, very happy with what I found. Good squeaky feeling water here in two indoor bath and two outdoor baths. Indoors there are some jets and a strong, square shaped bubble. Also square is the cold-water bath with tall walls elevated far from the ground and lined with some great small tiles that feel good to sit against. Watch out for the jet shower in the corner as it is way too strong to be at all comfortable. There is also a dry sauna which I skipped. Outside offers two baths a covered rock lined bath and an exposed shallow bath for laying down in. The latter exceptional with the gentle rain falling on the day I visited. The cool rain and warm spring water made a great effect. That was emphasized by the amazing waterfall they have set up to enclose the space. Sadly, you can’t bathe in it! Not only that there are two separate waterfalls for the men's and the women's side. The garden and grounds were covered in green grass which also had a relaxing effect. Lovely place. Worth visiting.
