New supersento a short walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station just near the banks of the Katsura River. Wonderful, yet small, place that has unparalleled service. There are only a few baths and it feels more like a very fancy daiyokujyo in a business hotel--which makes sense as Fufu no Yu is owned by the operators of the Dormy Inn chain of hotels. The water is above average for a simple hot spring. It's the location that really puts this place on the map. Besides that the extra services really stand out. There's a small snack corner where you can buy cup noodles and cook them in the nearby mini kitchen and then eat them in the large rest area. They even had take out menus for Pizza Hut there. When we left Mia got a free ice cream because it was Sunday and I got a huge bag of snacks with my drink. Outstanding service from start to finish.
