A hidden, unique bath up in the hills between Kyoto and Otsu. I hiked my way here and rode the bus back into the city. There is some parking also. This is a different style of bathhouse. You enter in what looks more like a small minshuku and get greeted then given a table to sit at and served some tea. At that table you leave your bag and anything you do not need in the bath. The bath here is quite small so you might have to wait to get in. There is no outdoor bath, no sauna, no cold water. It is just a tub filled with some mysterious, unique water. Radioactive baths like this typically attract people who are looking more for health benefits along with relaxation and you will see that here. I recommend going here as long as you know what to expect.
