City operated hot spring facility out in the beautiful rural area of Yoshino. Lovely stone lined tubs capped with lacquered wood. This is a cold spring heated up, so, thankfully, the cold bath here is the star. Spring water mixed with city water there. The other baths about 40 deg inside and hotter feeling outside were comfy and spacious. The spring here is a hard feeling one and noticeable on first touch. I walked up from Shimoichiguchi Station. That took about an hour at just over 4km. There is a beautiful old village here. A few local busses also run between the station and the hot spring.
