Nara sento can be fairly basic and you go there for the atmosphere. You don't expect seeing bubbles, jets or a steam sauna. However, Gokō Onsen give you a full sento experience like you were in Amagasaki, but instead you are in the bucolic Nara plain. Smaller than a more urban sento but well proportioned with a blue and white tile color scheme. The somewhat weak but quite enjoyable steam sauna with its accompanying tap water temperature cold -water bath was the highlight here as far as baths go. Behind the windowed wall along the back of the sento is a small outdoor rock garden with a small ornamental pagoda setting the aesthetic. There are more than a few cracks here or there, but overall it appears to be well loved and a great option for a full featured sento experience in Nara Prefecture.
