Basic in design and layout. The kakeyu appears to use spring water which is rare, but a very pleasant surprise. There is a rock-lined outdoor bath that has salt added. The hot sauna was working strong but the wood was rotting in places. I was worried about getting a splinter! They also have a rare cold sauna and advertise it as the first installed in Kansai. Sadly it was not as strong as some of the other cold saunas I have experienced. Out side of the baths the rest areas and eating areas feel abandoned. This is probably due to COVID and the kitchen being closed. Over all the spring water was great, reminiscent to Fudo-yu a few kilometers to the north.
