Getting in I was surprised about how cluttered and uncluttered at the same time this sento was. Some corners are superclean and right be behind that corner is a stack of detritus. This is one of the baths that used to have the body dryer, however it is broken. I have yet to find a working example of this in the last 10 years. I guess they either cost too much to repair or there are no more parts! Getting into the bath and washing off I thought to myself that some places were showing their age here and there this appeared to be a healthy sento. Sadly, after washing off and looking around the entire facility that opinion changed drastically. Let's say this first, what this sento has that is still working is working very well, was clean and enjoyable. The main deep and shallow baths are piping hot. The bubble, jet and electric bath were fine. The single person sized cold water bath was great and I loved the late 70's angular waterfall filling it. The dry sauna looked enjoyable but I did not use it. So that is what you get. What you do not get makes this place a bit sad. The radon steam sauna is broken. It looks like it would have been outstanding too. Same goes for the empty outdoor bath that had a keyhole shape and was quite big for the size of this sento. Sadly, I see this place closing soon. It would be awesome if they could find some money to do some capital investment and repair the outstanding facilities they have but, again, I do not see that happening.
