There is an old school liquor shop with some silly murals that distracted me from seeing the entrance to this sento as I walked by. So make sure to keep your eyes open. Inside there is a big entryway and waiting room with a kind of empty and cavernous feeling to it. A grandma was taking a nap in the retro massage chair next to the front desk. The chair and the grandma seemed to be of the same age. The changing room was nice and clean in a basic kind of way. The men's toilet is a Japanese style and if you're squatting down with the window open there is a good view of the sky thanks to another empty lot on the other side of the building. General selection of baths with a good electric bath here. The sauna seems popular with the locals. Outside there is a two or three person sized bath and they had cut hinoki wood soaking in the water the day I went. Not sure if that made any difference, however the water here in the showers and all the baths felt very soft. There is also a waterfall bath outside which was extra strong and great for the shoulders. Very friendly seeming place in a very local neighborhood of Osaka. A heavily tattooed guy chatted with me a bit as we were washing off. So I can only guess that tattoos are OK… however YMMV. Good if you are in the area.
