Trees and green plants grow out of the second-floor balcony of this beautiful sento hidden down the maze like streets of Ikuno Ward. Inside you will find that the bandai has been reformed to a front entrance in recent years. The reformation also seemed to include changing room TVs and a few other things here and there. Nice to see a sento that is making capital investments into their infrastructure. Inside the baths I knew this was going to be a good one immediately. The actual bathing area is small, but it is very well packed in and arranged. Great selection including a lovely shallow rock-lined outdoor bath and an enclosed extra shallow radon “minus ion” bath. Near the front is an herb bath that also rocked. Many of the baths are also refiled from the bottom giving a good movement and bubbling effect the water. Besides all the great tile here there is also the square with a glass glazed circle in the middle decorative tile which seems to be a mark of a quality sento. They also have the wavy wall tiles with a flying stork motif which is another one to note.
