Don't let the hard facade of this sento fool you. Inside you'll find a vibrant, community-minded sento. I was surprised to see so many locals chatting and discussing meeting up later in the week for events. While I felt that the locals were surprised to see me there, it wasn't off-putting. This is the kind of sento I'd love to have in my neighborhood.

Moving on to the baths, the steam sauna here is amazing. Maybe due to the cold weather outside, it was so steamy you could barely see your hands in front of you. The cold-water bath has a huge powerful wide waterfall filling it. It feels more like a water park. Dunking your head under (after rinsing off outside) seems to be the manner here, and I was happy to try it myself. The other baths were well arranged and of the anticipated quality for a busy sento like this.

For those sensitive to it, be aware that this is a smoker-friendly sento with a smoking booth for customers. The booth only does so well in keeping the changing room from smelling like cigarettes. I missed that smell to a degree and enjoyed the nostalgia.

Lots of normie and non-normie tats here, so you should be OK if you're inked.
