*Closed* Tokiwa-Yu is a compact two story bathhouse. The second level is at the top of a steep staircase-some of the steepest stairs I’ve encountered. Overall it’s a good use of space in this smallish bathing area. Nice clean changing room and front with lots of ashtrays. Sadly I found the water in the cold and salt water baths to be a bit murky looking. The other baths were ok, however. Tokiwa-Yu is a good backup if Hamura Onsen closer to Umeda is closed and you’re in the neighborhood.
I got a few strange looks here. It doesn't seem like many foreigners show up in this neighborhood. Something to be aware of.
