Amazing tile and stone here in this classic Osaka sento. The stone on the floor, lining the tubs and along the benches is old. You can feel the age it the soft bumpy surface of years upon years of water flowing over it. While the main deep and shallow bath is the center of this sento there are also two jets in a rock lined tube in the rear outer corner and a treated, electric bath (with a lovely green yomogi bath salt) in the inner corner. There are also some intricate 4-piece square highlight tiles along the wall near this bath that I have never seen before. Even the men’s Japanese style toilet with the glass block window and overhead tank is amazing. Fukujyu is a beautiful piece of living history, highly recommended.
