There is a steam sauna in the middle of the main bathing area here. Not on the wall or off to the side. It is in the middle with washing basins sticking out from it around the outside wall. Never seen anything like this before and I was very happy to get in a steam sauna after the hike I just completed. But it is also broken, turned off and locked shut. The back corner of this sento, where a steam bath typically is, sits a jet bath which is also broken and unfilled. Nothing covering up the bath either. Just the empty depression in the floor. The only bath that works in this sento is the shallow, deep and electric bath which are all part of the same bath. However, the electric bath is turned off at 8pm. I would not go here unless you are a huge sento fan given the unique design and some other nice tile work. This was once a great sento, sadly I cannot imagine it lasting much longer given the state it is in.
