We stayed overnight here, but they also offer day use. This is one of the most unpretentious fun places I have visited in Japan. The feeling was friendly from the start and everyone, staff and customer alike, seemed happy to have you be there. Thanks to the powerful waterfall filling the main bath, the bath was energetic, giving the room a constant rushing sound. Interesting remodeling was done here where the original indoor baths have been closed with newer indoor baths taking their place. However, the original outdoor baths are still in use. A long covered hallway has been constructed to connect the newer and older sections allowing access to the older outdoor baths. From the outdoor bath, enjoy the great view of the river during the day and the night sky after sunset.

Hard to access without a car or a long (and probably very sporadic) bus ride.

There's a faucet for taking the spring water home outside, plus another for drinking indoors near the ping-pong table.
